Re: toilet won't flush sorry forgot to mention that no a marine manual head is almost nothing like a regular tanked toilet. in point of fact if the head is below water line (which it very well likely may be) if you have a bad flapper valve and an open thru hull (raw water intake) you can flood the boat.. Jabsco 37045 toilet won't flush out or empty. i am returning to the boat today with a plunger to try and force the water through everything in an effort to prime the pump. i will double check that my o-ring seal is intact and that the holding tank vent is not blocked.. Regularly flushing with a mild acid such as vinegar (also a mild disinfectant) may help to slow the build up, although this won’t eliminate it by any means. the photo shows a five-year old heads outlet to holding (black) tank where the cross-sectional area has been reduced by around 50 per cent..
