New aliminium boat trailer build. hi gents i thought i would post a few photos of my aluminium boat trailer build its really easy and you can build a 3000kg to 3500kg for under 6k i havnt had a chance to get it licenced yet but will go over easey only thing i need to do it move the winch post back about a foot do you have any drawings. So the trailer had to be light, particularly as the boat will no doubt have lots of extra essentials added over its lifetime, like that 12volt vacuum cleaner that gets left on board. couple this with the corrosive effects of salt water on steel, even galvanising has a limited life, the best option seemed to be an aluminium trailer..
